Flowers are the perfect symbol of the beauty of the earth. Vital in our gardens, adorning our homes, or carrying warmth to a loved one, they embody the spirit of the gift.
Our flowers are intentionally free of herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, and other poisons. Our cutting blooms and diverse wildflower garden create a refuge for pollinators.
They have a deliberately low carbon footprint, since they are locally grown, harvested, and preserved.
You can enjoy our blooms year-round in bouquets, teas, balms, medicines and more.
In Summer, joining our Floral Farm Share secures you weeks of unique and colorful bouquets, and supports local floriculture in Southern Kentucky.
You can shop our online store to enjoy our flowers and herbs infused in health and beauty goods.

Why Local Blooms?
Locally grown flowers, free of pesticides, herbicides, and other toxic chemicals sustain pollinator insects and the broader ecosystem. We need flowers to have pollinators, and we need pollinators to have food and a healthy environment.
As it stands, about 80% of the flowers in the United States are imported. Major corporate producers rely heavily on long-lasting pesticides and herbicides to minimize their costs. This has a serious impact on pollinator species and other wildlife.
These exploitative corporations set prices and work Latin American farmers extremely hard for low wages.
Flowers transported thousands of miles are often treated with concentrated preservative chemicals, harmful to human health. This air shipping also comes with a heavy carbon footprint.
Buying local reduces these negative environmental impacts and contributes to a robust regional and domestic economy.

Flowers are the precursor to seeds.
They are a promise, and also a reminder.
As one thing comes to an end, many new potentials and beginnings are created.
What is a flower but cooperation?
An invitation for engagement?
A reminder of the practicality of altruism?
Long after being severed from what nourishes it (the roots, soil, and sun), the inspiration, playfulness, lavishness, romance, and bliss of a flower lingers.
They uplift just by virtue of what they are.
